hii.. i am Johirul from Bangladesh. new to the forum.... i have some queries if anyone can help me out with please. i am selected for the master's degree program at Tampere University of Technology. i am preparing my documents. well, my first cousin wants to be my sponsor. is there any restriction for Finnish residence permit that only first blood can be the sponsor? as my cousin is like big brother and he has plenty of money... kindly help me out with this...

Considering you are intending to study in an university, you should be able to read the rules. It clearly states it is you who applies the student permit who has to have the money in your account. Whether your cousin is rich or your cousin is irrelevant, he is not applying for a student permit. The only case your cousin would need to be your sponsor would be if he was living in Finland and you would be marrying him and applying for a rp on family ties...
