Hungarian woman looking for a job in Helsinki

Post by Kinga » Mon May 26, 2014 10:00 am

Hi,

I am a 30 yrs old Hungarian (girl) with years of experience in:

Administration (credit management)

I have some experience in project management (in merchant website creation, programming, webpage testing - so not I am the programmer).

Construction industry (English-Hungarian translation, but I am mostly experienced in the administrative side and office management. I also worked on field for 1,5 year as well.)

English teaching (business and construction; in Hungary you can work as an English teacher with and advanced exam, so that I used used to teach English for years)

Help-desk (Hewlett-Packard - English).

Originally I am an anthropologist (specialized in research and social documentary making /Youtube: Gyermekeim - én magam/, with an advanced English exam. Unfortunately I don't speak Finnish yet, I have arrived not too long ago, but I am keen on studying.

I am comfortable with using Sony Vegas (pro8) and Adobe Indesign (for edition)

I am already registered at the tax office, living conditions OK, all organized, EU citizen, I can start working here.
I am mainly looking for physical work, but I really would take mostly anything, I just don't like sitting behind a table all day.
I have good organizational skills, I finished high school in entrepreneurship specialization. Please contact me, and I will provide you with my CV.
I am also happy with advice and site recommendations.

Thanks and regards,

Kinga

Kedves kinga

First you should have a certification YKI 4 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages B2) in Finnish,
with YK4 can have a chance to get a job

Caesare,

It is right there because in this case the article shall agree with the adjective (in this case the attribute) and not the noun. Thus if the noun comes with an adjective, the article shall reflect the latter one.

So "I am an 30..." is incorrect.

Corrects form is e.g.:

Police are searching for a 14 year-old girl.

Yes.

'T' is a consonant no matter how you write the number.

You are more likely to win the lottery than to get a job (no Finnish and your studies)

It's a little too European to talk about "agreement" with a/an. The choice doesn't care or correspond to any part of speech (noun, adjective) -- it cares only about the very next sound that comes out of your mouth, possibly with the exception of 'eh' or 'um'. If the next sound begins with a vowel (not including the sometimes-vowel y) you say 'an', else you say 'a'. There are a few dialectal variations on that particularly in England but even they arguably work on the same principle.

How do you mean European? Continental? :).
I am just referring to what I've learned in school, from books :). Anyway, thank you for the answer.

That got me thinking about 'um' Alden - I repreated it to myself and it's more natural to me to say a. I think because it ends up with a 'y' sound before it (ay, yum, apple) so it needs to be a
