Help with an alcoholic spouse.

Well we apply August 11th. He said he will go with me there.
We are engaged but we may live apart in the Autumn.
I have the study place, and a work contract for part time work so everything is covered there.
But I just wish he would wake up to what he's doing.

My advice is to leave him. Just think that one time he gets really drunk and then in the middle of the argument he puts his hands on a knife and then he might kill you because that alcohol takes control and he can't react to it. Protect yourself and leave him!

Good advice. I, too, wouldn't risk of living with the potential violence of an alcoholic, either. Life is worth more than a residence permit.

Considering how much of the violence in Finland happens when one or both (victim or perpetrator) are drunk... that certainly is sound advice. Anyway, arguing with drunken people is sooo fruitless.
