Not that it's important for this thread, but yes they do existonkko wrote:What i know and what maps knows there is central africa and south africa, west, east or north africa dont exist.ami10 wrote:Thank you very much for the reply tjawatts,he is a west african,he has been in london for close to 4 years now.he told me he will become a citizen when he is 18 years.

South Africa is a country; the Central African Republic is a country. The other terms refer to groups of countries - without one specific definition, I think, although in some cases there are economic unions like SADC or ECOWAS.
East Africa is Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and some of the neighbouring countries.
Southern Africa is South Africa, Swaziland, Lesotho, Namibia and Angola (at least), and ususally also Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia, Malawi and neighbouring countries.
West Africa includes Nigeria, Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, Gambia, Mali, etc.

In response to SecretCode:
Actually Onkko's response was correct in the context of this post.
The OP was asked by tjawatts "What is your son's nationality?"
She replied "Thank you very much for the reply tjawatts,he is a west african,he has been in london for close to 4 years now.he told me he will become a citizen when he is 18 years."
Onkko correctly pointed out that there is no nationality called West African. Your nationality can be South African and can be Central African Republic BUT it can't be East, West or North African.
Visa requirements differ for many countries in Africa. Saying your from West Africa is meaningless when you're requesting visa information.
Of course you're also correct about the groups of countries

Re: procedure of obtaining visa for a Minor
As said his nationality cannot be "west african" since there is no country with that name and i havent heard "west african union" or similar what haves common agreement with EU about visas and stuff.SecretCode wrote:Not that it's important for this thread, but yes they do existonkko wrote:What i know and what maps knows there is central africa and south africa, west, east or north africa dont exist.ami10 wrote:Thank you very much for the reply tjawatts,he is a west african,he has been in london for close to 4 years now.he told me he will become a citizen when he is 18 years.
