Jobs in Tampere?

Post by hicotech » Sat Jun 14, 2014 11:20 am

Hello..

I am new to Tampere, just came one week ago and I have started to looking for a job here.
Actually I am full stack programmer and developer so I am able to work as front-end and back-end developer too but right now I am looking also for non IT jobs here to cover my expenses for first months.

I have seen on mol.fi that even for cleaning jobs I would need Finnish language, but I would like to to ask if you guys know about some part-time, brigade, summer job where I would not need Finnish language.. or if you have some suggestions for me.

I am already studying it, but it will take time :)

Thanks in advance

Thanks for your reply... as I wrote above, it means I do back-end and also front-end..
front-end is clear I guess.. its always about HTML, JavaScript and CSS, but back-end is questionable.. I do as many other developers PHP with MySQL.. of course different front-end and back-end frameworks, libraries, techniques are not unknown for me..

I didnt actually expect any particular job offer here, just some friendly suggestions so I didnt attach my CV and not even LinkedIn profile.. I like to keep my privacy

So anyway.. thank you for your hints and enjoy sites I have been working on like http://www.tennistv.com/ or http://www.tv.manutd.com/
If you like all kind of sports and you do check also websites of teams or sports news sites, most likely you could see my fingerprints ;)

Forget finland then, your income, address and such is public by law :)

You may be able to hide your address if you are threatened, no you dont decide if you are but police does and "i dont want people to know" isnt enough, and phone number... if you wish and companies respect that wish. Most do and you can make it private. make your number private and dont give it to anyone. You cant hide your income.
If i know your address or name i know how much you earn and what kind of cars you have. I also probably have your phone number.

That's something I really like about Finland and that should be brought in elsewhere. It would help solve a lot of problems about unequal pay between men and women

Ok.. I am not wearing aluminium foil and I am not scared of stealing my privacy in general :)
its just I dont like the idea of sharing for example my CV on public forum..

and what you described, is the case when someone wants to get info... so its the same like company which wants to hire people.. they will be able to find me on LinkedIn or Te-services or most likely I will find them and send CV

Who understands what back-end and front-end means? Maybe someone who is already hiring back-end or front-end developer.....

I dont really understand what is your problem here.. I wrote you its Web development, its backend so PHP, MySQL, etc... its also frontend so HTML, CSS, JavaScript.. what else do I need to write about it? We are not in daycare where I would rather write "I can make you very nice website with fountains, fireworks, lot of images of ponies, everything with modern stuff... and I will also make you admin section where you can add new ponies and Barbies!! WOW.. Much dodge!!"

Or are you? Did you get stuck in daycare? I guess most of HR specialists and people from IT companies understand, if not backend and frontend terms, then at least web or for God's sake development.. So I dont know what terminology Finns use, but I have seen all those terms in mol.fi and other agencies/companies too..

So I really appreciate your help, but it looks like you just try to fight or heal your other mental problems.. sorry, I dont like to play this game!

Btw.. I am not ashamed that I am unemployed.. It was my decision to be, I terminated my work contract and moved out of my country because I just wanted.. Even if I would be fired I wouldnt be ashamed, because thats something what is happening very often in this world.. like it happened couple of years ago with Nokia.. yes, I was also working for Nokia and got fired.. like thousands of people here in Tampere, Berlin, ....... and other offices around the world.. Thanks to Mr. Stephen TrojanHorse Elop, who is now enjoying his exclusive position in Microsoft again..
