DNA text message isn't working to my folks in the States..

Anyone else have this? I can message them just fine but I don't receive theirs. The area code is right, we've tried it about a million different ways. Mom has an older Blackberry if that might be the problem. I also use a prepaid service thing.

I presume that they are removing the leading zero from your phone number after they dial the +358?

whether the text messaging works depends on the agreements the operators have with each other, so there is no guarantee it will work with all operators. DNA being a small operator in a small country, the network in the USA might not have configured their system correctly for DNA Finland.
They should try texting somebody else in finland on a different operator to see if that works. Also to compose a message and not reply to one you have sent.

Thanks! We just gave up in the end. I can at least call if there's an emergency and all. The joys of international living lol!
