Intensive Finnish course with housing
Intensive Finnish course with housing
Hi,
couple days ago I saw an ad in the newspaper about a place which offers intensive about 6 months long Finnish language courses in a small place close to Helsinki.
It includes dorms and everything, and supposed to bring you from knowing zero Finnish to fluency.
Unfortunately I didn't take the ad with me and I've forgotten the name of the place or the organizers.
Anyone knows what I'm talking about?
I tried gooogling, but couldn't find it.
Thanks!

Which newspaper? Old issues of Metro, ads included, are available online: http://www3.vartti.fi/lehdet/

Awesome, thanks!

Found it!
It's this company:
http://www.larkkulla.net/en/languages/finnish
Can someone recommend? Heard good/bad things?
If I take the beginner's and continuation course is it enough to pass the YKI 3 exam for a citizenship?
I've been living here for 10 years with my Finnish wife but still don't speak Finnish, and I would like to get a citizenship because I'd like to start a career in the police, and it's only possible for citizens.
Thanks.

This looks brilliant - wouldn't mind a go at it! It will probably be very expensive though
Re: Intensive Finnish course with housing
According to their ad it's 440e/ month including housing and meals.
Not a bad deal, even if you're not attending the classes at all

Now I know why all of a sudden there are so many Russians in Karis.
Karis is a very small town and is predominantly Swedish speaking, so I guess it's an odd place to learn Finnish.
