Got this message from skrill:
Thank you for contacting the Skrill Help Team.

Further to your inquiry, we would like to kindly inform you that you were not able to use your card as you had exceeded your 24 hour frequency limit for POS transactions made with your Skrill MasterCard. Currently, your Skrill MasterCard limits are:

Daily ATM withdrawal limit: 250 EUR
Number of ATM transactions per day: 3
Daily POS limit: 1000 EUR
Number of POS transactions per day: 5

These limits are rolling 24 hours limits. For example, in case you make 5 POS payments for a total of 1000.00 EUR at 5pm today, these 5 transactions and their total amount of 1000.00 EUR will no longer affect your limit after 5pm tomorrow.

In case you would need a higher POS frequency limit, we might consider increasing it for you. In such case, please let us know what would be a suitable frequency limit for your spending needs by contacting us.

For more information on the Skrill MasterCard and its limits, please visit the 'Skrill Card' section in your profile with us.

We hope you find this information useful. Do not hesitate to contact us again if you have any further questions.
So the Skrill works fine in Finland you can just use it 5 times a day. I am just using it for google play, xbox live and the app store now putting small amounts on it so the kids don't bankrupt me.

Skrill (formerly Moneybookers) user here!
I'm extremely happy with my Skrill Card, especially when I can pay with it after a failed transaction with Visa Electron (VR, I'm looking at you!)

I made some verifications (Bank account and photo ID) and asked to increase the limits a bit! The key is just to read their FAQ and ToS and understand them very clearly.
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

All of finnish banks have those. Today most/some/all/dunno of electron cards are transferred to debit cards but thats irrelevant to end customer since its basically same.
And as said those arent same as prepaid cards.

*sigh*
I know that Visa Electron doesn't work on trains. Doh! Why do you think I mentioned it?
I just disagree with the notion VR presents that "There are technical difficulties with Visa Electrons". I think it's just laziness so they don't improve the datalink connections in their trains.
