Can Sel-Employed Person in Finland be employed in other coun
In Finland, foreign citizen with residence permit based on self-employment (ie as a self-employed person) is not allowed to be employed by other companies, while still operating own business. Are these companies limited to those in Finland, or in any EU countries?

Not entirely correct. There are categories of jobs that you are allowed to take while on a permit based on self-employment.dreamstep wrote:In Finland, foreign citizen with residence permit based on self-employment (ie as a self-employed person) is not allowed to be employed by other companies, while still operating own business.

To hire in Finland the companies would need to follow Finnish law so they are limited globally. However, when setup as a sole trader for example, why wouldn't the foreign citizen rather sell the services to the foreign companies?dreamstep wrote:Are these companies limited to those in Finland, or in any EU countries?

OK, thank you! But can you answer my question: Can such a person have an employment in another EU country, according to the law?betelgeuse wrote:Not entirely correct. You asked about foreign companies. You did not specify where you wanted to do the work. A Finnish Residence permit for an employed person does not automatically give you the right to work elsewhere. You should inquire about the situation from the authorities of the other country. I am not familiar enough with the EU level rules or rules of other countries to say anything certain.dreamstep wrote: OK, thank you! This question is quite complicated. But I thank all of you for your answers!
By the way, can such a business (private trader, self-employment) be transferred to another family member? Or s/he can only establish a new one?
Please help, I mean, urgently!

The activities (liabilities, assets etc.) can be sold. However sole trader business registration is always tied to a person.dreamstep wrote: By the way, can such a business (private trader, self-employment) be transferred to another family member? Or s/he can only establish a new one?

"A private trader may only have one single Business ID, which is always attached to the person who set up as that private trader. If you pass on your business to someone else, in other words sell your business, the Business ID will not be transferred to the buyer."

Thanks! Now I understand.
