Having KELA help pay for your meds....?

Post by ilikepeanutbutter » Thu Sep 18, 2014 5:25 pm

I'll have the paperwork from my doctor since my inhalers are super expensive. She mails me a form and said "turn it into KELA" but I have no idea like how to turn it into KELA. Do I just show up and show them the papers or do I mail them in? I've never done anything with KELA before outside of getting my card so no idea.

Anyone ever did this?

Apparently you can do one or the other:

So you have kela card, if you really are insured by kela then you dont have to do nothing.
Go pharmacy, hand your prescription, they ask your kela card, enjoy.

You can always ask that how much it will cost with your card before ordering, they will understand.

I mean pharmacy deducts all out of price without need of kela if you have kela card and asthma stuff is probably "lets pay almost all".
Regards i bought asthma stuff to my landlord and in first time i took 2000mk with me

Thanks for the help! Yeah I'm on all kinds of medications so I qualify for extra financial help since I'm special I guess lol!

KELA does already pay part of my inhalers but they'll help out more with that special form thingie. I"m so technical  lol!

Thanks again!

Its very simple. If you go to public doctors and I think this years cap is at 610, then all you scripts will be 1.50 euros.. Hope that u stay well. I dont lol...

You dont need to go public doctor and even before cap they pay 0% to 100% of your medicine depending what it is. If your part of medicine you need is over 610e (e.g. you paid over 610e in year already) then its 1,5e/medicine rest of the year.

The doctor paper you will get has to be taken to Kela asap , pop it into a Kela envolope and place it into the post box they have , there is no need to cue, then after 4 weeks you will get a new Kela card which will give you a larger discount on your meds , around 70% this depends on what your doctor wrote the letter to Kela. You can also claim back the extra discount if you have brought any meds from the date thats on your doctors letter. I know all this as I have live long meds I have to take.
