Greetings,
I'm currently in a weird situation. I'm in Helsinki as a student,I placed my application here in Finland once I got approved and I am currently studying. Currently my r.p. is still being decided on, I got in a physical altercation with someone in a bus (No it wasn't a finn) I got contacted for questioning from the police, they said the other party is filing assault & threat charges against me.The residence permit application is "stuck" since August, I asked the police officer who took the questioning if this assault charge is the reason my r.p. is still undecided and she said yes :\
So my question is basically,Since I got into a fight while my resident permit is being processed, am I in any danger of getting a denial? I was reading the Finnish penalty code and it specifies that for a petty assault charge its a fine, But I can't find any thing about if this can affect the Immigration decision.
Any feedback will me much appreciated,
thank you.

Why did you make two posts about this? You already have this viewtopic.php?f=20&t=86791
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

yes I posted it twice, I guess it falls between both of the categories.
