Has anybody ever watched the YLE program Strömsö?
Is it just me or is the most useless program ever produced? Is there maybe some hidden scandinavian message in it or there is some cultural value in seeing people for example covering walls with plastic bottle caps? Or is maybe the fact that they talk in foreign and that is normal behaviour in Sweden?
Strömsö: what's the point?
Re: Strömsö: what's the point?
At least half of what YLE produces is useless. So I wouldn't really worry about one particular program.
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

OMG its still running
Its a lifestyle show on how "better people" live. Don't know how many of the general population watch it, but some do as there is a saying "ei menny ihan niinku strömsössä" meaning "you botched it up".

The point is? A waste of tax-payers money.

I love that show, very relaxing.

Basically it's a freakshow for the upper class. In England they would shop at marks and spencers or waitrose, in Finland, being a classless society, they shop at LIDL but watch Stömsö, the poors shop at LIDL and watch teiniäidit
