Will Kela Support Anymore?

Hi,
I had 3 years of A permit based on job. So I got permanent Kela card, i.e., ending date is open. Unfortunately, it seems I have to apply for extension of residence permit as a student for 2015, as I don't have the same ground as before.

The question is will Kela stop my health insurance and other benefit as soon as I will become a student?

Not sure but I think depends on your permit type.

Easiest way to check it out is to ask Kela about your eligibility for the opintotuki. If your kela card will remain valid you should also be able to get that.

It does. However, it would only be a problem if the new permit is for under a year which is unlikely:

You Kela card will stay valid. For other benefits you would have to ask specifics because there are benefit specific rules (like the student financial aid I mentioned in my previous post).
