You select a bank from Nordea, Danske or OP and walk into a suitable branch.

Option 1

Step 1: Go to a bank.
Step 2: Use your mouth to ask them about opening a bank account.
Step 3: Complete the tasks they require from you.
Step 4: Now you have a bank account.

Option 2

Step 1: Ask your tutor.
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

Not any bank branch will suffice (hence my suitable qualifier). Nordea, for example, in most branches requires you to reserve a time for advisory services (neuvontapalvelut) in order to open an account.

Hence using the mouth to ask. If you need appointment, they'll tell you.

Based on his posting histor,y OP does not live here, or isn't here even on temporarily right now, so the short answer is:
You won't (not now).

There are two factors at play here
1. I'm generally smart. Not super smart, not brilliant, just smart.
2. I don't think it would be very difficult to look smart in front of you.

You can't.
noamane wrote:next time please don't reply on any of my postes
I will. You can't stop me.

I don't think I can. However, even if I could, I'm not going to.

No you weren't, you asked how to open bank account and since this is mainly immigrant forum then obviously you are in finland if you dont say you are not.

 How the *ell do you know if this person lives here or not? Have you got special powers?
I just had to ask a very similar question on a Canadian board. I want to open another account in Canada and asked whether it was possible to do remotely.

Do not make smart-assed comments without asking for clarification. it makes you look like an idiot.
You asked if you can do it remotely, he asked if he can do it.
This board is mainly inhabited by people who live here.

And he is one who asked "how to open" without telling that opening is from foreign country while most of us would think its in finland.

Give me link to your question and i "smart-ass" that you told youre not in canada etc....

Offtopic but my special power is deduction.

"OMG i just fell of my feet because of earthquake and lava is coming in!"

So we deduct, most of world didnt have earthquake in that time so out.
Some who had but didnt have lava, out.
Strong enough earthquake + lava = probable place.

Like here, he asked in immigrant forum (no one is outside of finland if not told so) + Specific problem in finland (nothing points to other countries) = in finland.

Assumption on non valid or not enough info doesnt make me look bad, it makes one who asked look bad. Always give all needed info. And in this case he argued he asked something what he didnt so he lied.

I 100% agree with Onkko.

This is the norm on this forum. When somebody asks about entrance examination, we're gonna assume they're not in Finland yet (unless they specify so). When someone asks "Where do I buy a piano?", we're gonna assume they live in Finland (unless they specify otherwise). When somebody asks "How do I register with Maistraatti?", we'll assume they're in Finland, and we're not gonna assume they're asking about registration remotely (unless they specify so).
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.
