driving without licence
driving without licence
Hi, my wife was driving my car three weeks ago and she was caught by the speeding surveillance camera because she was over speeding. Unfortunately she doesn't have a drivers license and we have not had anything from police yet what could be the worst case scenario.
Re: driving without licence
You lie that you were driving, cops come to see how feminine you now look like, you get mad at them and kill two. After high speed chase you get caught, deported to Russia while your wife is sold to slavery.sniper wrote:Hi, my wife was driving my car three weeks ago and she was caught by the speeding surveillance camera because she was over speeding. Driving without a license is problematic, Police will seriously get pxxsed off.
Besides, in case of an accident the insurance might not be willing to pay.

I think a lot of people who read this will be hoping for deportation back to where you came from, once your pockets have been emptied to pay off the massive fine. I wish you the very worst luck possible in sorting this one out. If there's any justice in the world, it will be an excruciatingly painful experience for you both, physically, mentally and financially. The only unfortunate and disappointing aspect is that you won't get to experience even a small % of the pain and misery your uninsured wife could have cause to an innocent citizien.sniper wrote: what could be the worst case scenario.

Re: driving without licence
Oh, and "knowingly releasing a vehicle into the hands of one without license" will get you in hot water too.
However, the speed cam recognizes the register plates and the fine is sent to the owner. So realistically, nobody is going to be interested it was your wife. Unless you go insisting it wasn't you...
... and I think theres been enough scaremongering to convince you it was you driving. Next time if it isn't a metalbox police, you know what to expect.

Re: driving without licence
Obviously this is not the first time the wife has been driving. And after this she will continue to. I hate people who knowingly do illegal stuff, especially something as serious as driving without a license. If I can follow societies' rules and laws and so can other people, what makes you so special you don't think you need to?
Sadly Finland doesn't much like throwing the boom at people, so you can laugh and get away with it.

I certainly hope that she will be tried for attempted murder, and hefty fines for both of you till you fellas end up on street roasting Christmas ham on a trashcan fire.sniper wrote:Hi, my wife was driving my car three weeks ago and she was caught by the speeding surveillance camera because she was over speeding. Re: driving without licence
Worst case scenario was asked. I tried to imagine one. True that deportation isn't usually an option even when you kill someone.tummansininen wrote:Deported? But in Finland the cameras take a picture from the front and it includes the driver. Does the fine arrive as a bill and you just pay it or a letter from the police inviting you to visit the police station, show your driving licence and they issue the fine there (they have the photo on their computer when you visit).Pursuivant wrote:However, the speed cam recognizes the register plates and the fine is sent to the owner. Moral of the story - if you are going to drive without a licence then don't break any more laws
Re: driving without licence
Depends if they want your driving license. Was it two in one or three fines in two years before you get to discuss about the suspension of your license. Or if you drive fast enough or with drunk, then it is suspended on the spot.riku2 wrote:But in Finland the cameras take a picture from the front and it includes the driver. edit. those numbers were for new drivers. More experienced can rack three in a year or four in two years.

Judging by the number of the posts, and the nature of it, it seems the OP posted with intention of flaming. There seem to be quite many of these kind of posts lately.
Re: driving without licence
It is too damn hard, imnso. A year or half in jail and booted out of here or Schengen area. You have family here? Tough luck, should have thought it before you committed crime that landed you into jail.tummansininen wrote:A pity, no?Upphew wrote:True that deportation isn't usually an option even when you kill someone.

Re: driving without licence
And then you have those geniuses who think that these camera's are the same as policemen on the road. Driving without a license should be a crime, try to get your money when such a bozo drives into your car (or worse). If I was in charge; auto of the road for a year and you must have a very good story to get it back.
Re: driving without licence
Humm... Odds are that the wife (the criminal, if this is for real) is native.
