Deportation for student visa
Deportation for student visa
Hi,
Merry Christmas !
I just received a letter from police that I need to take my passport to the Immigration office on 7.1.2015 and they make decision on my visa application as deportation. I applied for student visa 4 months ago in Espoo and already answer all of their questions and they still give me negative mark ? I don't understand how they work in here.
Is there anyway I can do about it ? if they gonna deport me, is there anyway I can renew my visa to come back to Finland and finish my study ?
Sorry for my bad English,
Tks for your time

When you get deported you can get a Schengen wide ban from 3 months to 3 years. Depending if (the police thinks) you committed fraud in your application.
Find out why the application was denied and solve that problem. Then you can apply again (probably from abroad).

If they have to deport you, they will pick you themselves ! If they asked you to visit them - most probably that is for reasoning.

Hi,
So I will stated my problems here
1, They asked why I have so few credits last year
I answer last year I study business but then I want to change my study, so I apply for IT bachelor, pass the exam and study this year. Last year, I focused too much on the entrance exam cause I have to retake the IELTS test also, and prepared the document and review for entrance exam. That's why I abandoned the study in my old school, hence didn't have many credits.
2, I have 6750 Euro on my account.
First, I apply for my visa in Kymenlaakson police on September, and I have enough 6750E on my account. 2 months later, Kymenlaakso police transfer my profile to Espoo police. So the espoo police call me and ask me why I don't have enough 6750E on my account on November ???? I means I have the money when I first apply for my visa and of course I have to spent money for my living in Finland, so I can't have 6750E on November. And I also tell them that.
And if I have to make the appeal to Helsinki administrative court, how can I do it ?
Tks guys

What is your country of origin.
When you first moved to Finland.
What you have done with the first Residence Permit issued on your name - did you fulfilled your responsibility to your permit -- If your answer is no - are you asking them to trust you again.
You said your English is not good - what IELTS score you have.

4, I have 6,5 IELTS, just enough to apply to Metropolia UAS
Re: Deportation for student visa
Did you apply for a fresh permit based on your new study or a renewal? Permit renewal requires study credits. Apply for a fresh one if you hadn't done that.longo wrote:Hi,

6720€ is for the next year.... it does not matter how you have lived these past months but you have to show that you have enough money (550 per month) to spend for the next year. In good old those days, you could transfer money from your friend to yours for permit application....2, I have 6750 Euro on my account.

Too bad I'm applying for renew visa, not making fresh one . Maybe that's why they denied me. Is it possible for me to apply again in Finland ?
Re: Deportation for student visa
You have a new study place, so on that ground, you should be able to apply for a new permit. And, as I hinted in my previous comment, try to first have some money (at least what's required for a permit) transferred to your account before you apply for the permit.longo wrote: Is it possible for me to apply again in Finland ?
I have heard police are nowadays very particular about where the money has come from, so having your relative rather than a friend send you the money might be the best idea.

To apply for VISA you have to leave first - apply from home country and come again if granted - if granted that allows 90 days stay.
Are you sure you have applied for VISA or you have applied for Residence Permit. They two are very different.

Yes but I am sure Longo is talking about student permit, not visa because he seems to be living in Finland as a student.caster wrote: To apply for VISA you have to leave first - apply from home country and come again if granted - if granted that allows 90 days stay.

@caster : thank you for your advice, I apply for student resident permit.
@007: now that they mark as deportation, can I apply for fresh resident permit in here or I have to come back to my own country and apply

I never hired a lawyer before007 wrote:I think you should play safe and contact an immigration lawyer.longo wrote: @007: now that they mark as deportation, can I apply for fresh resident permit in here or I have to come back to my own country and apply
Re: Deportation for student visa
Good for you to consult a lawyer - contact your university study advisor office - the union office who issued you the student card etc. before you visit them.
