Copy of old residence permit card

My last residence permit card expired in December. I applied and got a new one. When I had the new one, police took the old residence permit card. Now, I need the copy of old residence permit which I don't have with me. Can I go to the police and ask for a copy? Do you have any ideas or experiences with it? Thanks

I was/am unemployed. TE-toimisto has asked for it. I am also little surprised why would they need it.

TE Office can always take the required information from Police - if they require.

Send email to Police asking them what TE Office asked you - (send them email don't call) When they will reply take that email printout to TE office.

And if his residence Permit was based on previous employment and when Police comes to know he is Unemployed now, that could be end of his story here

He already been issued with new one - as per his post.

Would they be satisfied with a register extract from the Aliens register?

I went to the police I have a copy of residence permit card with me now. I will send this to TE-office on Monday. I was and am under dependent residence permit.
