We need to have our car fixed...can anybody advice us on where to find the cheapest autohuolto in Helsinki?

Are you looking to have your car fixed (repaired) or serviced? The _best_ option, which necessarily isn't the cheapest, depends on the car make, your goal (are you aiming to have it in good condition or just fix it enough to pass the next inspection) and what exactly needs to be done to it. If it only requires an oil change and something similar, you could rent a DIY garage ("tee-se-itse halli") and do the work yourself. If welding and such is required, there are "one man" places around that will do that fairly cheap. For diagnostics of more elaborate (e.g. electric) problems, possibly only the "official" make specific service stations have the needed equipment for it.

In general, Helsinki most often is not a cheap place to have anything done to your car, the money-conscious will take the theirs to surrounding smaller cities; Kerava, Kirkkonummi, Järvenpää, etc.. Also, if quality is of any concern, you could post the same question to a make-specific forum, often there are preferred places that people take their cars to.
