Most of the time, changing countries really doesn't help much. You might end up sick of the new environment after sometime. Finland is not that cheap comparing to Germany (and no, I am not counting Munich area in this equation if some nitpicking genius decides to raise this point
). If you are going to travel outside of Finland than flights are going to cost an arm and a leg. Driving is not an option (Not counting ferry ride to Tallinn). Fließend Finnisch in wort und schrift is a must in your area of expertise.
But of course, you may try your luck but keep an exit strategy handy in case if things go south.
Now, someone please inform the taxman that we might be getting a new fish in here

I have really good relations to my current employer and in case I wouldn't make it, I would get employed there again. I spent quite some time, several month overall, in Finland and I'm sure that this place is the right place for me. I wouldn't think about moving to a country if I wouldn't be absolutely sure about it. And certainly, I have an alternative in case I don't make it.
I'm still looking for jobs I could do there. Jobs, that don't require a special qualification, as my qualification isn't too helpful outside of my home country Germany. A job that is more sustained than an employment as cleaner for example would be.

I agree with you, but not entirely. You might be right in most cases. But personal experiences have shown different things. I know a person who started his own business in a really small municipality. People there have been moving away and many stores closed down. You are right with that. But he kept his business running, as he had the only retail store in that region and there was a demand for that. But he struggled to find someone for an open position. After many months of waiting he ended up hiring someone without qualification.rinso wrote:You have confused cause and effect.
