Hi,
Summer is knocking at the door

. Getting ready to grow something in my small garden. I am looking for seed of water spinach
http://www.worldcrops.org/crops/Water-Spinach.cfm seed. Does anybody have idea where can I get the seed ? I didn't find this in K rauta, Bauhaus, plantagen , Hong konh etc. May be this vegetable is not so common in Finland . Some oriental shops sometimes sell this vegetable. It looks something like this:

I buy most of my seeds online from the UK because there is a wider choice of varieties and I like having all the sowing and cultivation info in English.
Try Marshalls or Thompson & Morgan.
There is a brand called "World Kitchen" available in Finland (it is part of Johnsons Seeds UK). They have it - Kang kong seeds. I'll be in Fiskars tomorrow I'll check in the Secret Garden Shop which stocks World Kitchen seeds and I'll let you know.
Are you sure it will actually grow up here? Do you have a greenhouse?

Hi Rosamunda ,
Thanks. Yes it grows in Finland. One seller told me that they buy the vegetable from the local garden here . Green house would not be a problem. I usually make it by bending PVC pipe of around 1 inch diameter and then cover the structure by transparent plastic sheet. To cover large area it is the cheapest option but works fine.
Regards,
Richard

Lidl has those pvc tubes & plastic tunnels this week. I use them too - excellent for keeping birds, snails etc away.
If you send me a PM with your phone number then I'll text you if I find the seeds in Fiskars.
