If you don't inform your boss, he'll probably wonder why his employer disappeared. Since you're intending to end your employment (ground for your RP) as soon as you secure your RP renewal, I think it kinda counts as a lie on the application. I highly recommend that you do not do any trickery with the application process.

Even though you didn't post your real name here, but let's see how many Vietnamese females who live in Lahti have an appointment with the police about work-based RP renewal next Monday. Wasn't so smart to admit to residence permit fraud online, now was it?
I really feel like taking a screenshot of this thread and sending it to the police. Perhaps it's nothing illegal, but who knows?

I think if you quit your job even if you have a work RP, then the RP becomes void, doesn't it?

I assume the work RP is for that particular job. I don't think you are allowed to just quit and then turn back up in Finland and get a new job.

Fraud is not a good thing to do and you will probably end up being banned from Finland.

And in this day and age with the economy the way it is.... How can you just so easily quit a job? Think it'll be easy to get a new one?

She probably works in one of Finland's lovely Asian massage parlours :D

Her English isn't very good, so I don't know how she'd have a professional job.

I hope she doesn't get the next permit. So many honest people get denied all the time, while fraudsters seem to win.

hey, i come to ask what should i do? if you guys advise it illegal, of course i am not crazy to do that. and also it is just an urgent situation that my mom informed me about my dad's serious illness, so thats why i intend to to leave job. But now it clears enough, i should take 1 month holiday to come back home in stead of quiting this job.Thank you

and one more thing is i never have any intention of quiting job without telling my boss, the question i want to ask is if i should tell him now or in the future ? if i tell later and no one substitude, of course i will not dare to leave like that. i also have enough responsibility and self esteem to recognise what i should and shouldnt do. please dont think so hard to every foreigner like that. not everyone is a fraud

Many questions like yours are asked to find loopholes in the system.
Your intentions might be pure, but the question suggest otherwise.
The regulars in this forum have seen those attempts many times.

on 11.5 i will have an appointment with the police for working visa renewal ( 4 years) however i need to come back my country as soon as possible because of urgent family case and i also have no idea when i come back Fin so i intend to inform my boss about quiting my current job. however i have to tell him at least 1 month before i suddenly, so it means now is the time for me to mention that to him. but i wonder if i tell him now, whether it will affect my visa processing or not? i am afraid the police will check something from my company before they decide to give new visa ? anyone has any idea about this? should i inform the boss now or not?
Thank you so much
You might have another problem.
If you leave before you get a new RP you might not be allowed back in.
At least you'll have problems getting on an airplane to Finland or the EU. (Airlines refuse to take passengers without visa or RP.)

Honestly, that's the first thing I'd try to do. In fact, that's the only good option you have. I'd have tried this before even asking here.

at first, i just thought simply that i have to come back home as soon as possiblle, and 1 month holiday is also the first thing i think about. but my mom said that daddy is in critical situation and no one knows when he will leave this world, so she would prefer me to stay at home at least 2 months. thats why i think leaving job is better than taking holiday. if after my holiday, i just suddely tell my boss that i want to quit, then its also not a good idea. thats the reason i ask you guys what i should do. i even really want to come home immidiately if its possible....and of course, finding a job in Finland now is not easy at all, so i should have known how lucky i am . however family is still my priority so i accept to loose job and find the other one when everything is alright.
Please dont misunderstand what i have said. if i am a fraud, i am not that crazy to post question in order to admit here.

Why don´t you ask about getting a leave from work due to family health reasons? This is also something you could ask KELA about. Quitting your job and risking your residence permit is not the appropriate action now. You either get some kind of sick leave due to family reasons (KELA could help you figure out how that works) or at least get unpaid time off from work due to family reasons. Anything else is insane.

First thing you should do is ask your boss for an unpaid leave due to family emergency. Depending on the workplace, they might actually agree to a few months.
