Hello,
I had stayed in Finland for more than 6 years. I have my Permanent residence permit. I am not from Europe. I Had to return to my home country for personal reasons less than 2 years ago. I intend now to now move back to Finland permanently and get citizenship. But since I was stupid to not learn Finnish (barely have knowledge of about 100-200 words maybe) earlier I plan to enrol first in unemployment exchange then start the Finnish course.
I will be returning alone and my family will join me later.
I have a residence on loan and rent which I plan to reoccupy after returning to Finland.
I had membership of trade union and would have got the unemployment benefit if I had stayed on in Finland after I lost my job in Finland earlier.
A) Will I be eligible for kela unemployment benefit from the day I register in the unemployment exchange?
B) Will I be able to get some unemployment benefit from the trade union as well? ( 23 months since I lost my job in Finland)
C) How soon can I join Finnish course classes?
D) Any other recommendations?...

If your permit has not been cancelled, yes.gudone wrote:Hello,
