Problem with huuto.net buyer who doesn't want to pay!

You are deceiving customers.

You don't deserve the money if you are lying. The person doesn't want to send their money overseas. That's their right if they've been deceived.

You need to change your profile to the truth. I don't think the buyer owes you anything.

The buyer says that he/she doesn't want to send money abroad. But this is not fair to me.
Sometimes banks can ask a fee for international payments. (depending on the bank and the kind of account you have)
Forcing the buyer to pay more than is agreed is not fair to him.

With SEPA that should not apply to Estonian bank accounts. But still, location advertised is Helsinki and account in Estonia. I don't blame people getting suspicious.

If the OP has lived in Finland is "in the system" opening a local bank account (on a next trip, presumably he makes those sometimes) could be useful. Options without monthly fee S-pankki and (with limited transactions) Danske (any others?).

I agree, if your profile says you live in Finland, you can't ask for a transaction abroad. It's inconvenient in the least, and I'd personally get suspicious, even report you to the website moderation. In case the buyer lives close to Helsinki though, you can agree to meet there and get the payment in cash. Don't expect any better solution until you get a Finnish bank account.

So in order to sell your item, you lied...and now you have a problem with the buyer? It's the buyer who should have a @#$% problem with you. Hope the buyer has already reported the case to huuto.net moderators.

ps You should inform the buyers that the item is posted from Estonia in the description like so many other sellers do at huuto.net

One practical solution in this case would be to simply offer to send the item and agree on payment once it has been received. If the buyer gives you a Finnish home address, for €20 the risk should be minimal.

In the future, I would agree that listing a wrong item location could be seen as dishonest, particularly since trading between individuals online relies on trust. I have bought (via ebay) from people in several European countries, sold to people in Spain and Germany (both from the UK), and never lost out. However, if I bought from someone who claimed the item was in the UK, and then told it was somewhere else, I would also be suspicious.
