This has as much info as this thread can give to you. In my case decision was definitive yes without any question, only question was when i would like to be born. Your case? more complicated.

Again, you cant predict or get anything from others in case of citizenship. Every case is individual.

Even in case where you are neighbours who moved in finland in same day and have similar life in finland it doesnt mean you get decision in same day.

Hi anyone,
My boyfriend applied for citizenship on 6th January and took documents on the 9th of January. In the old website the process was initiated on 10th March and in the new website it says that he took the documents on 10th March which isn't the real case. So do we count his waiting period from January 9th when he submitted the documents in person or from March 10th when they initiated? And can we call to correct the info?

And just as a kind request, is any January applicant's application in 'progress' or they are all still on 'waiting for processing' stage? I know they are dealing with December cases so those waiting to attack just relax, I just want to know for no apparent reason.

Anyone applied in Jan-Feb 2015 received decision? Migri site says its 7 month now, wanted to check examples here.

Any idea if there is really long delay in paper application compared to online?

If someone told you theirs took 8 months will it make you happy? How about 6? If you like, I can lie and say that I put mine in seven weeks ago and received it yesterday.

We need to have a thread with canned replies that we can use to answer these questions by just linking to the reply.

Mate, even if there is one person whose application has been processed faster than the stated Migri times, that has no bearing on your application. Migri is telling you that the estimated time is 7 months, and nobody in here can give you a more accurate answer than the official answer from the people who actually know (Migri themselves).

If you didn't apply in Jan/Feb then i wasn't expecting any answer from you... I am following migri updates as well but they haven't updated for Aug yet... So wanted to check if they are still stuck with 2014 or started with 2015... anyways this probably doesn't interest you so you don't need to worry about...
