How long did you wait for the second resident permit?

I am married with a finnish citizen and i applied for my second resident permit not long ago in helsinki and I would like to know how long does it take to get the second resident permit.

Someone could have his/her permit in few weeks, so asking how long they had to wait serves no purpose other than to make you feel bad. In case of Helsinki, I would expect the processing to take close to the maximum allowed and be happy if it was faster.

Helsinki. They told me it would take three to four months . . . it took . . . three and a half months. Submitted October in Espoo, received January in Helsinki.

Do you need your permit to be process as a priority? Tell them you need your permit urgent because you plan to travel abroad.you could also show them flight reservation ticket .

Ha... That won't make them process it any quicker. There's a queue and very few get to jump the line.

If THAT Finnish citizen she married was Police Officer / Migri Officer then she'd jump on top of pile of queue within just a min.

But if she is married to a police / migri officer, then she wouldn't have to ask here.
