Exchange Studies and Student insurance

Post by aakalim » Thu Jun 18, 2015 8:56 pm

I am an international student from Pakistan who would be coming to Aalto University this year for Masters studies. Right now i am in the process of applying for the residence permit.

I know that anyone intending to stay in Finland up to or more than 2 years would have to buy an insurance to cover an insurance sum of 30.000 euros. But what if someone buys such an insurance thinking that his stay would last at least 2 years, but during the course of his/her stay, decides to apply for a student exchange program in another country. Would he be allowed to do so, since in that case his stay in Finland may become less than 2 years?

I think this is a type of question you should ask directly from the University.
