Applying for a Residence Permit from Pakistan?
Hi
I have just been accepted to a Nursing degree in JAMK and I need to start my visa process immediately.
I have gathered some information and it looks like I will need to travel to either Abu Dhabi or Nepal to apply for the residence permit.
I just needed to hear from any pakistani living in Finland, what are the requirements that I need to fulfill.
In terms of Bank statement and other things.
Any kind of information will be much appreciated.

You can apply for a residence permit in UAE, Nepal, Turkey, China, India, Iran, or Thailand.
You're moving to a completely different country.. read about it! Don't wait for others to spoon-feed you.
Finland embassy in UAE lists no special requirements. They even tell you to go to Migir.fi and apply electronically http://www.finland.ae/public/default.as ... ntentlan=2
Migri website has concert information on the exact process http://www.migri.fi/studying_in_finland
Migri website shows you exactly what kinda of documents you need to have.

Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

Yes I have been reading up online.
I will have to travel to either Abu Dhabi or Nepal.
But I am slightly worried about the bank statement requirements.
I am reading information about the student residence permit from the link below. And I have the funds from my savings and I am employed too. But I have been saving for a long time and I'm afraid I do not have proof of where all the money came from.

Re: Applying for a Residence Permit from Pakistan?
If I understand you correctly a bank balance that has been steadily going up over longer time is better than one that got one big lump sum two weeks before application - as Migri would be concerned it would be a loan that you'd pay back as soon as you got your permit.Summer90 wrote:And I have the funds from my savings and I am employed too. You are in the same situation as I am I also dont have all the proofs to show the origin of my salary but I am presenting the authorities what ever I have got. I would first advise you to email the finnish embassy in abu dhabi and ask them for the appointment date I made a mistake and I didn't contact them on time and have to reschedule my flight. So please if you haven't emailed them yet than do this thing asap. Also in my case I can't ask my employer to give me salary statement or anything like that because I was employed abroad and I left my job few months ago. So if you are still employed than you can ask your employer to give you a letter stating the time you have worked with them and your monthly salary. This would also reinforce your application. Actually I feel that a blocked account as in case of Germany is a lot better option as it also saves time and effort for both the applicants and the authority. (By the way I am from Pakistan and I still have to visit the Finnish embassy in abu dhabi just killing my time).Summer90 wrote:Hi,adnan wrote:You can apply for a residence permit in UAE, Nepal, Turkey, China, India, Iran, or Thailand.

There's one more issue though.
My father just withdrawed money from my account so the bank people cannot deduct zakaat from it, since it's a savings account and he will put it back once the zakaat date has passed. The money has been in my account for the past year and more. I am worried that I may not be able to explain this in the statement. Should I ask the bank to write a letter stating that ?

Hello,
Yes, I've been accepted in Aalto University. I've planned my trip and if you are interested than you should too as Finnish embassies receive a lot of applications in summers.

When are you travelling ?
I got an appointment for early July.
What documents have you prepared for your application and are you doing the process individually or hiring a consultant ?

Re: Applying for a Residence Permit from Pakistan?
I have appointment on 7th July. Check migri website for document requirements its just your degree, bank statement, health insurance, your passport, one passport size photo, experience letters etc. But do visit migri website for further information. Regarding consultant don't hire one as its not recommended just as tummansininen said. Now start collecting everything and apply for dubai visit visa.Summer90 wrote:Okay.Muneeb Abbassi wrote:Hello,

Does it say we have to maintain the 6000 euros for 3 months or we just show the transactions for the last three months ?

Re: Applying for a Residence Permit from Pakistan?
You dont need an insurance for pakistan its for finland. Its available for anyone who wants to move in finland. By the way you can apply for Swiss care its cheaper but Marsh sip is pre-recommended by migri. I also applied for Marsh sip.
I couldn't get your question but its not 6000 euros its 6750 euros bank statement which you have to present as a proof of funding. Your bank statement shows transaction also and you may be asked to show the origin of transaction for example employment certificate ect. (By the way whats your appointment date)

Re: Applying for a Residence Permit from Pakistan?
Yeah sorry it is 6750, I meant to ask do we have to have the money in the account for 3 months straight or just show the transactions of the past 3 months ? Mine is on the 9th. I think I will be getting swiss care too.Muneeb Abbassi wrote:You dont need an insurance for pakistan its for finland. Its available for anyone who wants to move in finland.
