Here's an idea: Call the local embasdy.
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

1. Take an extremely simplistic exam that relies on "skills" taught ~9th-10th grade in most parts of the world and score in the upper 50%.
2. Score 79 on TOEFL IBT.

Both of which require a very minimal level of logical reasoning without any tangible skills. Let's be honest, being "better" than 50% of the applicants isn't really an achievement, especially if you factor in the mean intelligence level of the world population. As for TOEFL, I can tell you from my experience that it's soooo easy to score pretty high with no studying and minimal English. I scored 667 PBT, which is equivalent 118 IBT, and I suuuuck at spelling (auto correct is my friend 95% of the time) and grammar. So you can imagine how easy it is to get 79.

Understanding how the real world works has never been a prerequisite for getting into higher education.
