Which is a nicer city: Turku or Helsinki?
Which is a nicer city: Turku or Helsinki?
When moving to Finland would it be better to rent an apartment (flat) in Turku or Helsinki? I'm on a budget? Which is a better starting point for someone moving to Finland for the first time? I'm use to city living.

Its cheaper to move to Pori or Oulu, as you apparently have no inclination of getting a job...

All Finnish cities are nice. Well, most of them. Nothing exciting or special. just nice.
Nice combination of urban life and nature, nice suburbs, generally quite life, even inside Helsinki. So, use a different criteria than "which is nicer".

Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

Even Helsinki barely qualifies as a "city". If you are used to London, NYC or Tokyo then Helsinki will seem a bit sleepy. Turku positively comatose.niceguy40 wrote: I'm use to city living.
