Search: Position as Trainee/Internship as UX/UI/DEV/WEB/APP

Moika!!!

is there someone who can offer me an internship/traineeship in the wide area of software developing around Suomi? I am a student of Human Computer Interaction at the near end and need to make an (paid) Internship (3-6 Months full-workdays). I prefer Finland because my girlfriend is from there. ;-)

So the main topic I want to work in, is something with:
  • - User Interface Design
    - User Experience Design
    - Usability Tests
    - Marketresearch
    - Personas
    - Use case dev
    - Web analytics
    - prototyping (paper, digital)
    - Wireframing (Axure, Balsamic, ...)
    - Android / Java
    - HTML5 / PHP
So I can help you to find a better concept for your website, for your customers, digital products, make concepts, design, sketch, think about an app idea, prototypes in Android, ...

I am from Germany, so EU citizen.

Languages:
  • - Suomi Level A1 (I want to get a higher level while working)
    - Englisch B2/C1 (Base for work)
    - German mother tongue (Maybe helpful to get new customers for your company around German speaking Europe (DE,AT,DE-CH,...).
    - (Spanish Level A1)
Tell me if you are interested and have an job offer. Even if you know someone, tell him and ask him.

Kiitos.
Julian

I don't know. He didn't seem bossy to me. He actually seemed quite confident, which is quite desirable in the job market.

So, Julian, where's your portfolio? More importantly, where's your GitHub account and Stackoverflow/UX.StackExchange account?

Good feedback is always welcome. The last sentence was added in a rush, for sure I should change it to "Please feel free to share my job request to your colleges and friends. Thanks." But while a change, the post is offline and needs to checked again from the admin team. And yeah the "Englisch" was a German typo caused by my autocorrect system - never type English in a german autocorrect environment. Lesson learned.

I am not a bossy one. I was very friendly and said at least thanks in the language of the country we talk about. My text was longer than the most requests here in this forum, so I am sorry that I didnt provide all informations in one place and gave with my list a strict impression. Let me describe myself it in these easy words: I am as handsome as a Finn sitting all day long in a mökki sauna with some olut ja saunamakkara (=peaceful and relaxed).

@adnan I am near to finish my studies. My skills are based on university lessons and private activities. As a starter, fresh out of university, its hard to provide a portfolio. Companies I worked for forbid to share the work and results. And yes I did some things I could show a potential company, if they ask for it. In my opinion, best is to provide a potential worker a nice little question out of the topic and some time. After 4-6 hours you see if he can do something or not. Thats how I got my jobs so far. Stackoverflow is a system I like to use, but contribution is not part of my daily life. My GitHub is private, also my Bitbucket and the things I do there are stuff I don´t contributing to open source. I use programming to prototyp, I am not a fulltime programmer.

@tummansininen thanks for this feedback. I see there is a hard challenge, to get a space in this business. I thought Finland is a country where so many people speak English. At least, this is what I saw the last 8 times I was there and had perfect conversion partners. My request is not forever, easy choice for a company. Even the money I want is not as high as a finn would maybe request. Rent, Food - I have to live and don´t want to save money for future in this time. Also, everyone in this biz (at least in UX) should think about workers from different countries. A lot of systems and websites, made in Finland, are used around the world. There are much differences in society, behaviour and prejudices. Every insight into another country is a big benefit. In topics of expanding to other markets, it´s also good to have a joker that speaks the language. So I see some benefits that makes rise my value. But on the other hand I see it realistic, it will not be easy.

So far, thanks for all comments. I will keep you up-to-date if there is something new.

Well, that's unfortunate. An acquaintance of mine is looking for a web dev trainee in his department, but an active Stackoverflow (or UX.StackExchange) account + an active GitHub account are some of his deal-breaker requirements.
Of course, I could pass your "CV" along, but there's nothing here to put my name on. You have literally nothing to show.

Keep in mind that a decent employer will not take your first sentence lightly. It doesn't matter how you got your jobs so far, I don't a fick about that. It matters what I'm requiring from you. Period.
A man going around forums posting his "CV" isn't exactly a man with a lot of options. Aye?

I think I'll back Flossy's comment up there. Even if my company was looking for a trainee, you'd be the last person to consider. You sound like you're unpleasant to work with. I highly recommend that you work on that.
