Hi,
I have a permanent residence (P type) in finland . But last year I had to move to my country because of personal tragedy in my family, its been 14 months I have been away from Finland. I read that I will be removed from finnish system, If I am away from finland for max. 1 year. I am planning to come back to finland before my PR gets expired (i.e 2 yrs) , right now I don't have a job but just a student.
Will I be able allowed to work If I come back and can I reapply for my social security benefits.
Help will be very much appreciated.
Thankyou!!

Re: Query about Moving Back
A "p" is a "p" so no worries about working. Kela cuts the benefits (and card) for residence abroad, so benefits might not be coming. Depends all on how you are in the computer (and if you blurt out something and they jump on it)

"If you move from Finland permanently, your residence permit will be cancelled. Your residence permit will also be cancelled if you have remained outside Finland for two years without interruption."
It depends on whether you selected temporary or permanent move when updating the population register on move abroad.
