Hello,
So when I opened the residence permit decision on e services, it was in Finnish (I didn't notice the English summary at the end). I opened the second document and it was appealprocedures. I panicked. I re-oppened the decision and here was the English summary : "You have been granted residence permit....". Question is why are there appeal procedures attached to a positive decision? Why would people want to appeal against a positive decision ?
Appeal and positive decision
Re: Appeal and positive decision
Indeed like tummansininen said. Just a few weeks ago we had a question here from somebody who was thinking about appealing a positive decision that gave him 1 year RP while he wanted 4.
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.
Re: Appeal and positive decision
It is not always self evident if each and every aspect of the decision are according to potential applicants wishes. (On the other hand, this is also a country that considers the "tunnel has ended" sign necessary on roads.)

Thanks. I see now. So as a whole it means that you still get to point out if smthng is wrong regardless of how cohesive the decision seems to be with what you asked or more generally that appeal is a right.

Thanks. I applied through E-services. I advise you to do so. E-services allows you to follow up on your application. It is also faster because if you go with paper application, the embassy will have to enter all of the information again. In addition, the fee for E-services is I guess30 Euros lower than that of paper application (even if you pay at the embassy) . So definetly E-services. If you go through the forum, you will notice that processing times vary extremly and have nothing to do with what is described on Migri.fi and I'm not sure how that works exactly ( but follow recommendations on Migri.Fi; fill the application carefully and include all necessary info). That being said, all necessary info is normally on Migri.Fi. Aside from the processing times matter I just pointed out, I'm sure checking it out will clear out a lot of things.
