'cause op seems to find it offending or unfair that there are two pipes to get into Finnish school.

and latter does seem to indicate that recommendations do a lot... quite like matriculation exam?

Well considering that Harvard has racially skewed admission policies via affirmative action, one really does not need to look into the details to argue Harvard admissions are not based on academic achievement alone with all candidates on the same line and it that sense they are certainly not fair from the perspective of our resident prophet.... Well perhaps from his perspective Harvard policies are better than just fair...

After reading all the idiotism prevalent in this thread, it is evident, that all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.

(Just replace "animals" with "foreigners" and "equal" with "stupid".)

So how are you enjoying being a foreigner again, H?
As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.

and you've just crowned yourself as the king of stupid foreingers by showing you're far more srupid than OP himself.
Congrats, mate! This is probably the only honour you'll receive in your life, so you should definitely go and celebrate it with a beer.

But you know what's funny, though? ~ 90% of the users replying in this thread are on the same side of the argument as you, yet you think there's "prevalent idiotism", which tells me you probably don't know what prevalent means.
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

Sorry for hurting your intarweb feelings. I've just been reading too much retarded drivel lately. Thats the problem keeping up with whats going on. Nevermind the media going silly once again regarding both the recent Immonen case in Finland and all kinds of other developments and here in the UK the Calais migrant issue. Lets say some peoples' "sense of entitlement" gets on my tits like 50 shades of grey...

Yes, "foreigners are stupid" in any country they go to, as they "don't know what everyone, even the 5-year old kid, knows" (just like city boys are stupid when they go to a farm and country yokels in a city) and unless the person out of their own comfort zone realises the fact, and is willing to learn about these new things, they will get offended and go offending and it won't make their opinions any more appreciated by the locals. (Unless its the self-hating green-red cultural marxist-relativists who just want a bit of color on the streets to show their liberalism off.)

And Alden, I am just waiting for the day I can enter Finland wirh a brit passport and have this entitlement light shine out of my gilt ars... never mind the birds queueing up in mummotunneli .

Russia would be extremely happy for such rules. Local tourism would be boosted by little green men everywhere.

That would work fine if we had one monolithic culture without differences between countries.

@Onkko~(we) the people are willing, but it is the governments that want to tell us how to live and act towards one another....
