go abroad while citizenship application pending?

Dear friends
I have a question can i go abroad before get the citizenship decision (i mean after applying for citizenship and before the decision ) and if it yes for how long i can be outside Finland ? and does this affect the processing of my application ?
do i need to do something with Migri or not ?
and can i apply 2 months before the required time of living or must i wait until complete the required living time ? i asked 2 polices department and each one answered me with different answer one said it is possible and the other said it is not.

I highly suspect that you're wrong.. unless there has been changes in the last 9-10 months. I recall two friends (a Russian couple) who applied near the end of last year while still needing 3 months to satisfy the needed 4 years, and both of their applications were received and both got positive decisions recently.

I seem to remember that the "rule" is to have met the residence requirement at the time processing your application.

I was also told to wait until I had completely fulfilled the requirement of duration, before applying. It's not like a normal RP where you can apply in advance (whilst you're a tourist).

I personally know someone who applied while having 4 months left to complete the 4yrs residence period and another with 3 mnths left to complete and they both got positive decisions.

Meanwhile, if the trip is less than 4 weeks and it will be reasonable that one can receive phone calls, check e-mails or have someone to receive your physical letters at your residence and will be really convenient rushing back to Finland while my application is under processing, I personally will not notify immigration

Thank you all for answers , i make a decision to apply after complete 4 years here because i heard that it is ok if someone apply before the time but it may be the Migri will put his/her application in the line (incomplete application) and this may take long time to be processed , so it is no problem if i wait few days 2 months or 3 .

Regarding my seconed quistion that can i go abroad during initiating or processing , thank you dsenator1 I think it is ok if i can go inside EU for less than 1 month , and my family will follow up any update especially if i will apply by the internet so it is possible to follow the state of my application.
