I had the same thing. They have a limit that you can't pay installnents over a certain value. Had a similar thing with Prisma even though my credit rating is decent. I found netanttila much more forgiving.

Don't people always buy more than 600 euro things from Verkkokauppa and if so how do they buy it in installment if klarna is not allowing the customer to buy a product more than 500 euro.

Consider that people may actually have the money to buy it. Usually from Verkkokauppa I buy with a credit card, knowing that I can pay the bill once it comes. If you cannot buy something worth a few hundred euros, definitely that's then something you shouldn't be buying at all (absolute necessities aside, of couse).

What do you mean with decent credit rating? In Finland it's only allowed to keep a negative credit register. So the options are: no negative markings or various degrees of bad markings.

Well I haven't checked my credit rating but I mean I should not have a bad one as I have taken loads of loans over the past ten years and always paid the required amounts. And whenever I buy anything on tick from e.g. Sotka, netantilla, prisma or verkkokauppa they always give me credit (except Verkkokauppa has a limit even though they advertise you can buy things on tick there).

I have bought a 360€ TV from verkkokauppa in ten month installaments but they won't let you buy a 600€ one in installments even though they advertise you can.
