can anyone give us a ride from Helsinki airport to Turku ?
The thing is..
I was trying to make a reservation from Helsinki airport.
I was informed that we can pay 250 euros if we go to Turku city center.(they menioned the price will be different when they get the address)
But today I gave them exact date and the address which is city center as I told them before.
They say that we have to pay 330 eruos..And it seemed unclear that they are offering us 20 euros discount telling 250euros were for 1person..
But I have already told them we have 3 kids.
We are willing to pay 250 euros but 80 euros more to the same place doesn't make sense to me.
If anyone has a van or something please email me.

This time of the year, the train ticket from the Helsinki Airport to Turku is less than 20 euros. Why not take the train?
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

I don't know much about family travel, so I'm genuinely asking here. Why wouldn't train be suitable for luggage? Most trains (especially IC) have spaces for big bags and extra luggage, and also overhead luggage shelf. I'd imagine if you were able to get them on a plane, then what's the problem with getting them on the train?

Take a bus from the Airport to Turku bus station. You have to change buses once but it is practically just stepping off and getting onboard. The driver will help you with the luggage etc.

They have lot of luggage, so they should ask in advance if the bus can take itinkku wrote:Take a bus from the Airport to Turku bus station. You have to change buses once but it is practically just stepping off and getting onboard. The driver will help you with the luggage etc.

https://www.matkahuolto.fi/en/timetable ... dbISvm2EuALong-distance travellers can have two suitcases or bags placed in the hold free or charge. If you want to take a bicycle or pram or other large piece of luggage with you, notify Matkahuolto or the bus operator one working day (Monday-Friday) before the day of departure.
The were also arriving at 8 pm, so even if everything is on schedule they'll be rather late in Turku.
(and even if their final destination is in the center, I doubt it is actually next to the bus station, so they should probably add taxi costs in Turku)
I think suggestion by 'tummansininen' is reasonable if they do not want to pay the price for taxi service from the airport to their final destination.

Another option:
http://www.finnair.com/fi/gb/informatio ... sportation
The Finnair City bus should work well. They're designed to haul you and your gear straight to Helsinki Central Rail station. They have (usually helpful) bus drivers to load and unload your stuff under the bus. It's 6.20 Euros a head and half that for children between 6-16. Leaves every 20 minutes or so.
Public transport for a non resident would be nearly as much as the Finnair bus and much less luggage friendly. The airport buses are a little different than the usual ones, but if you've got loads of prized personal possessions it will be a pain.

VR (Rail) from Helsinki to Turku can be as low as 5 Euros one way if you catch a sale. With little advanced notice you can get adult fares for under 20 Euros. Children are less but it's 30 percent ish. It's a pleasant 2 hour trip with free wifi that sometimes works well.
Booking Hint: The fares are cheaper from Helsinki central station.

And then from the bus to the train?
The logistics of that is dreadful without at least one extra pair of helping hands. There are approximately 9 big luggages and around 5 bags...plus 2 young kids and one infant.
Oh,,,there are 2 prams with one of them for twins

While some people have good suggestions here, if the OP is willing to pay 250 euro for the ease of mind, I think this is a good 'job' opportunity for people with a van living here. I suggest OP post this message on the Jobs and Entrepreneurship board.

Using baby seats is not mandatory in taxis. Nor is three seats if there is only space for two in the car (and third kid is at least three years old).
