Can I buy dried food from Ebay?

Post by miercoles » Mon Aug 03, 2015 11:50 pm

I want to buy some dried foods from Korea and Japan on Ebay. They're just snacks (for example: dried squid snack, tea..), weigh under 1kg.
My parents usually sent me dried foods via post from Asia and it was fine. But I don't know about online shopping.
Does anyone have experience on this? :D

Thanks in advance!

Look for asian shop in ebay.de there are several. That way there is no customs trouble as its already imported/inspected. Otherwise you get into big trouble in customs.

Tea is absolutely OK. You can be charged VAT, however, if the total price is over 22(?) Euro.
Squid snack? I don't think so (though not 100 % sure). Animal products are problematic in general. You might check the rules from the EC website, if you think it's worth it.
