Estonia Forum alike Finland Forum

Hi,

Sorry the question is not directly with living in Finland but I would request if you can tolerate it as exception.

I have to move to Estonia but I am not much familiar with Estonia and living there.
1) Is Estonia as safe(.. robbery, street crimes, women safety) as Finland
2) if people are as nice and kind as Finns and they are trustworthy
3) Is Estonian language everywhere like Finnish here, like if we go to any cafe the counter person start with Finnish language and all grocery have Finnish language

Also, it would be really nice if anyone know any forum of Estonia like FinlandForum.org so I can get info about Estonia.

Thanks

I've never been but I have a Finnish friend who lives in Estonia.

1) It's safer than it's been in the past it seems. There are "bad places" everywhere so be cautious when you're out and about. I don't know if it's as equal to safety in Finland though, sorry.

2) My friend says the people are quite nice and a bit more social than Finns. They talk to their neighbors :) lol. There are always bad apples though.

3) Yeah most things are in Estonian but they have a large Russian population so I'd expect you'd run into some people who speak that. My friend says many people speak English though so that's a plus I guess.

No idea about a forum, sorry about that :(. Hope this helps.

I usually go to Estonia once every few weeks. Tallinn, at least, is a very nice place.

1) It's a generally safe place. Robbery and street crimes are pretty rare. As a women, the only threatening thing will probably be how glamorous women in Estonia generally are compared to women in Finland.
2) People are most definitely nicer than here in Finland. I don't know about trustworthiness, though. I generally don't trust anybody, so yeah.
3) Yes. There are many places in Tallinn where you can survive with Russian alone, though.

I don't know about forums, but https://www.reddit.com/r/eesti is pretty nice.
Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.
