Not considered to be in need. Not even told how to get free food, which is pretty deplorable imo.
They must have had assets to support themselves.

Note that on that same wage, I qualified for the maximum Kela payments 8 months later when an application and appeal finally went through - this was while people on Integration still had their benefits affected by a partner's income. So... Kela thinks you're in dire need and gives the maximum, but Sossu says you're too well off. Same old thing really, one red tape agency disagrees with another and the person in the middle loses. I don't hold out much hope that they would do anything differently if my offspring asked, but they're going to ask this week anyway.
Yes income support is per household while many other benefits are not. I agree the system too complicated making it hard to navigate. I hope the trial with basic income results in improvements.

Define exists. It does in terms of abortion legislation for sure. Only in the following situation can be father be investigated before birth:

Isyyden selvittäminen voidaan aloittaa jo ennen lapsen syntymää, jos näytön saaminen isyydestä muutoin vaarantuisi tai siihen on muu erityinen syy. Oikeusgeneettisessä isyystutkimuksessa tarvittava näyte lapsesta voidaan kuitenkin ottaa vasta lapsen syntymän jälkeen.

I already said no.

this is the thing, it isn't.
guy posted the first act of that same drama in august (should i move to finland with her? i know she's crazy but i love her... something along those lines) and basically got the same advice.
after being told in this thread: man, we told you so in august, what do you expect us to say now? - it seems he went and deleted all his previous posts. i din't even know that was possible, but they're gone.

just adding a little explanation here.

now continue hating each other and having that same "residence-permit-or-not-or-do-i-even-need-one-and-what-about-immigrants-anyway" discussion you are having in 50% of all threads.

I wouldn't know about problems for under 25 year olds with regards to getting Kela. I've secured some form of a job for the last 6 years. I'm under 25 myself and I never had a problem applying for unemployment when I went though a dry spell after moving to Helsinki in 2013.

Your daughter sounds like she's as stupid as her mother. It seems as simple as that. So you're saying that even Finland agrees that a Finnish citizen should be able to do all of these things herself? I'd understand your frustration if your kid had a disability, but the point is, if she did then you wouldn't have a problem taking more of our tax money. So the problem is either her parents or her own laziness.

It's nice to know of your clairvoyance in knowing who's a "legitimate asylum seeker" and who is just a Kela worm eh? Maybe it's due to your ridiculous habit of seeing such things in black and white that your child can't help herself? You didn't need to post your life story though.

I was amused by your excuses though.

My advice to the OP is to stay here and see how things go. Take it slow and safe with this crazy bitch and try and get a job and housing. It's hard but not as hard as some of these people make it out to be.

Finally it helps a lot if you make some friends (but of course try to spare them the melodrama).
