Hello,
last week someone stole my bicycle. The bicycle was locked, in the bicycle room of the block of flats I live. There is also a camera and a warning. Only if you have a key you can enter the room
so one of my neighbors stole it.
I went to the police and they told me that it will be difficult to spot the thieve because we dont know the faces of the people who live in this building.
The building's manager said that only police can do something about this.
The insurance company will pay only (less than) half the price, but the bike is only 6 months old and bought it for 500 euros.
Any suggestions of what can I do?
Kiitos

Re: Stolen bicycle
Expect not to recover anything more from the stolen bike and look if you can find a better insurance policy for the future.atroul wrote: last week someone stole my bicycle. Re: Stolen bicycle

+1 for getting better insurance.

Re: Stolen bicycle
That would be a stupid thing to say by the police, if there is a camera, you don't need to see who is living there (yet), you can see someone leaving with your bike, so then check if that person came in with a key, if he or she did, then the chance the person lives there is big... so this can by no means be the end of the investigation by the police and the face of the person will be known...if you are lucky...or the camera is not working and the building manager does not want to tell anyone because he used the money for a new one, for himself (be-careful, a lot of assumptions hereatroul wrote:Hello,

But of course the police has no time for this, they are too busy screening all new arrived refugees.
If god would give us the source code, we could change the world
