Intensive Finnish Lessons Helsinki

Post by aaronabelchen » Wed Dec 16, 2015 3:51 pm

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a school/tutor for intensive Finnish lessons? I am relocating in Jan and want to get Finnish to a certain level before work takes over my life! :)

Thanks,

Aaron

In case they're not in the link mentioned by reindeer, I highly recommend the Helsinki University courses.

Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

A much cheaper option would be Aalto open university courses. The study hours are about same and the fees is just 30€, much lower than the Helsinki university (180€).

You can see list of courses here:

Oh, I had no idea! Do you have personal experience with them? Good quality teaching?

No, I also attended university of Helsinki courses. I think it pretty much depends on the teacher and the personal efforts.
I saw some course material of Aalto and it had excellent vocabulary.

12 years ago i went to CAISA, it was 4 times a week, the whole morning (3h). very good for me, and totally free. i don't know if they still offer it. best to call and ask, i guess.
