First of all, Merry Christmas to everyone!
I am moving soon to a Hoas apartment and want to have a dishwasher there.
According to Hoas website,
"The tenant is responsible for the work involved in dismantling the cabinet to make space for a dishwasher. When moving out, the tenant is responsible for putting the dishwasher cabinet back in place together with its base and shelves".
I am sure that I dont have the ability to do any dismantle work by myself. So I wonder if anyone can tell any services that do this specefic kind of work, and roughly how much it would cost me?
Also if you have gone through the same thing with Hoas or any rental company, please share your experience!
Thank you so much in advance!

Re: Dismantle shelving unit to make place for dishwasher
erm.
i think it's just a question of loosening some screws?
you don't really need a professional for that.
maybe you can put an ad up here on the forums, surely somebody will swing by and do it for a tenner and a warm smile?

Re: Dismantle shelving unit to make place for dishwasher
Hi.
Just be aware that the dishwasher cannot be simply installed by anyone. It needs a professional person
to install that. Otherwise when leak or something happens and water damage is caused, then you will have to
pay the repair cost with your money.
You see there is nothing about the installation in HOAS notice. They take it granted it's done by authorized person.
So I'd suggest you find an authorized person to make the space and install the machine for you.

Yes. And they must have a tray installed under them. Do yourself a favour and just get one of those one that go on top of the bench. You still have to pay someone to connect it but it's less work.

It greatly depends on your type of housing, if you live in a "kerrostalo" then by all means hire someone professional to do this because then he is liable for damage when something goes wrong.leisl wrote:Yes. If you live in a "rivitalo" and your floor is plastic of some kind, just take out the screws of the cabinet door hinges and remove the door, then remove the screws that hold the side walls to the next cabinet and slide the whole cabinet out.
Then take a set of good pliers and connect the hoses like the professional does too, 5 minutes work, make sure to use a new rubber seal. Connect the wall plug for the electricity slide the dish washer in and your done.
The tray under the washer is only needed if you need to be covered for damages to the underlying floor due to little leaking (drops), for a big leak (disaster) it will not help anyway.
I did it all myself and saved about 200€ for hiring an idiot that probably screws it up anyway, but than again; I know what I am doing

If god would give us the source code, we could change the world
