Social Office and the 13 payments... Im lost. Help..

Post by hychamaz » Mon Jan 11, 2016 7:56 pm

Hello all. I am having huge problems with the Social Office. For the last 2 years they have a policy where 13 payments are counted even though u get 12.... Three months now they are counting my Kela benefits and not helping... Never happened before.. This is the 3rd month that they are counting past Kela payments.... I am a single Dad with 2 kids... Is anyone else having this problem...
Last year they somehow said I wasnt getting money for 2 months because that is their policy. Yhis year it is 3 months..
Is anyone ele having Social Office problems now.... Or if you are not and care to listen Id appreciate it. Thank you!

They should not be counting anything that is not paid to your bank account. What does happen for many in December is that they get tax returns which gets deducted from income support. If the income support is low, this can mean that it's not paid for a couple months. If you think there's an error in the decision, you can get legal aid to review them:
