Hey there
I am about to move to Finland and was told that for ID number I might need to wait few weeks
however, without it I can not make electricity contract or internet contract (for the apartment). So what do I do?
I also need to have liability insurance and car insurance but all the pages are in Finnish. Again what to do?
For registration I found that I could make an appointment online but then when choosing the office it becomes chaos due to language and I have no idea what I am clicking.
Talking about importing a car, tax office is mentioning forms that I can not find or are only in Finnish, anyone has experience with car import?
Any help would be highly appreciated

Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

The forms are in english for those living in finland who BUY a car from abroad, but I think you are living abroad and bringing a car with you as personal effects http://www.tulli.fi/en/businesses/eServ ... /index.jspEdita wrote:Talking about importing a car, tax office is mentioning forms that I can not find or are only in Finnish, anyone has experience with car import?
I think the tax rules have changed for cars as personal effects though, previously they were tax free (in the same way your other posessions are). There were rules such as owning the car before moving to finland for a certain number of years. All that changed though and the benefit has been removed: http://www.tulli.fi/en/finnish_customs/ ... 008_en.pdf
