Hello,
Do anyone have idea on car driving classes offered by ratti (https://ratti.fi/). I think its from Uber. Car driving license costs around 900 euros. Is it possible to get English speaking instructor?. Any one in this forum have used this driving school service to get license. Please share your experience.
Also I would like to know whether fee for driving class from finnish school after rule change from 1st of Jan 2015 is same as last year or is it changed?. Last year, it usually costs around 2k last year.
Thanks
Senthil

Recently got driver's licence. Driving school cost: 1650 €, extras: medical certificate 50€, poliisi 60 €, Theory 20 (with timelimit, otherwise 80), practical exam 59 + cost of the card 24. I already had passport pictures (+ 10 or sth otherwise). Can't see where did you get that 3000. No problems getting practical lessons. Unless you need a specific time then you may need to wait longer.roger_roger wrote:If I was in your situation I'd go with Ratti just to save the cost.... I've heard good reviews about it..... Driving school sees you as milking cow and try to milk you as much as possible. It'd normally cost around 3K these days (including all the costs) to get the license and then there is long queue to get the practical driving lessons, the more gap you'll have between the lessons the more money it costs (as you have to take extra lessons anyways)Senthilprabus wrote:Hello,

With Ratti, the service will provide you self-instructor and you can book driving lessons on your both convenience, its much better to take driving lessons around 4-5 days a week and get the license fast and fresh. With Ratti it might take upto 1500 to get the license inclusive of all costs, but the thing is you need to do some stuff live medical certificate, filling up the form and submitting it to police by yourself.

you are right, slippery track was 72 for me. and next month i will have "Harjoitteluvaihe" which is an extra 170.roger_roger wrote:I don't remember exact amounts but you forgot to add slippery track cost, and after receiving license there is another few theory (I think 2 hours) and driving (3 hours) which are paid per hour basis. Extra cost for dark driving. Driving license in Finland ain't cheap. (This all with assumptions that you'd pass it first time, if you fail you pay more for both lessons and exam)rrrndrrr wrote:Recently got driver's licence. If you don't do the practice phase and advanced tuition, they will mark in the "computer" that you are not allowed to drive. Basically the main thing that changes is that they don't have to make new physical cards. You will not be able to save the 500 euros quoted.roger_roger wrote:Good news for people looking for new driving license, you probably don't have to go to the advanced phase training and get license of direct 15 years, saving those extra 500 euros. http://yle.fi/uutiset/driving_licenses_ ... mp/8557503
I am still bit confused with the part in the article here:as one of my friend who got his 2 years license in 2015 got new 15 years license this month posted by traffi to his address. He haven't taken the advanced phase yet, not sure how are they going to enforce him to take one. I didn't find any relative article in Traffi site either.New drivers will still be required to undergo a practice phase and advanced tuition with a driving instructor or face a driving ban.
