I just been to make last checks that all is OK with the venue for the party.
I meet the owner Mark, and American from Kansas City. He is eager to make the . party a big success. 7pm until mid night 22 May.
Pinapple (opposite the Base Pub in the road opposite Stockmanns leading to Torni Hotel ).
The venue is very pleasant in the cellar/lower terrace of an Afro/Asian theme furniture store. The bar area is also nicely furnished with lots of space. It can seat comfortably 50-60 and is best described as "quiet classey, cosy, and artistic."
One special request from Mark..
Please do not take glasses/beverages etc up into the furniture store area.
Three reasons.
Only the lower floor is licenced for drinking.
He does not want any accidents/spillages on his stock.
It is a private party and he does not want any drunks staggering out of the pub accross the road and seeing a party going on..and inviting themselves.
So those who read this please watch for members who obviously did not and if you see someone heading up the stairs with a glass in their hand.
