Yeah but still, the voice will be closer to reality if it's raised directly by the residents.

I have a friend who has lived there with their family (small kids and dogs) for several years, from 2008 or 2009, can't remember.
Expensive rivitalo type houses, pretty posh (I wouldn't say 'very'), but still quite crammed together, in many cases not possible to get your car next to your own door, but perhaps a few doors down there is a parking area. This varies.
A very quiet and well-kept area; really quiet in the evenings for walks, etc. Active neighbourhood association.
They were able to choose appliances, so looks ok, and haven't heard of any particular problems in the house.

Plans are quite basic, no fancy stuff or frills, what I've visited, with modern surface materials (paint, mirrored closet doors, melamin doors in closets etc., floor tiling in hallways, laminate flooring in other areas. I'd imagine you can change these yourself to something else. (- I personally like old-timey, so the modern look wouldn't be for me.)
Backyard is tiny, practically no front yard. But nice park areas and forests very near all around, great for walking with dogs and kids.

Day-care center(s) in the same area but they're small so might have to queue and not easy to get in unless lucky. Although the town of Masala is not that far, neither is Kirkkonummi, both with lots of services etc. Area has lots of kids of varied ages, and some playgrounds plotted along the 'inner yard' areas surrounded by the houses, away from the streets.

I heard they were planning some ala-aste near the housing area but not sure when that will happen or if it will.

Train station for local trains is pretty near, map says 1.6 km but from where we walked, was about 1km if that. Frequent trains.
I could ask my friend sometime about any problems, if you want to know something specifically?

Thanks a lot! I'm a bit concerned about the quality of the house and the daycare. There are 3 private daycares but they may be too expensive for us while the public one in Masala is a bit far. As for the quality of the house, we went to see one house in the area and the agent told us that there used to be some problem with rain water penetration in 2 or 3 of the houses in the row. I'm not sure how serious that is since the agent doesn't speak English so well and I had to use Google Translate to get it. Also, is there any problem with the natural gas or geothermal heating? I've heard that they seem to be cheaper than central water heating but the price may go up in the future.

Central water heating can use gas or geothermal as the source for the heat. I suppose you meant district heating? I'd choose geothermal over it and gas. Only way to it get more expensive than those two other options is that electricity is taxed a lot more than it is now.

Yes I meant district heating. A couple of weeks ago, we came and checked one house in Sundsberg where the geothermal heating is used. From the papers we got from the agent, I could see that the housing company has taken a loan of nearly 300K to make the new heating system and that will be paid in the vastike which is pretty high.

The monthly effect depends on how long a loan period the housing company selected. It's possible to select the loan period so that the financing fee (rahoitusvastike) equals the average monthly savings in heating. In this case the investment would be cash flow neutral for the owners.

Could you please elaborate what material is used to make the house? I checked the storage room of my friend's wooden house and it looks like it's the same material in laminate but probably finer. I assume that everything such as wall, floor (including the wet rooms floor) are built from wood. How can they prevent moisture damage for the wet rooms?

In my house the floors of the wet spaces and entry hall are poured concrete partially for floor heating cables, on top of that is water proof sealant which in turn is for protection and foundation for tiles covered in concrete with floor surface being ceramic tiles, thus essentially as in any wood framed house regardless of construction technique.
