Barbers and haircuts, Otaniemi, Espoo and Helsinki

Hello,

I've found some posts in this forum about barber shops in Helsinki and Espoo - I'm living in Otaniemi, does anyone here know any of the places nearby, and how much do they charge for a simple man's haircut?

Hairstore in Sello, according to their site, has haircuts "starting from" 9.90 euros, has anyone gone there? Is it really that cheap or the "starting from" is just a marketing trick?

(And does anyone know what's the price at Otaniemi's Parturi-Kampaamo Aalto?)

Someone mentioned last January that JAFF in asematunneli charges just 12 euros, I'd have to pay the HSL region ticket, but it's at least quite cheap compared to the 25-30 EUR some places charge...

I highly recommend a place called Shortcuts in Ainoa. Very nice employees, and they take care of you very well.

I was just comparing prices a few days ago, Shortcut in Ainoa seems to charge 37 € (basic haircut for men according to their website), though that apparently includes washing. I think there was also some other place in Tapiola centre which charged something like 27 €, can't remember the name.

Most likely 35 euros. It includes washing, some basic products, head massage, and generally taking care of you.

Thanks everyone for the advice and information (especially about hairstore...)! I went to one of the cheaper places and I'll keep an eye on the other post/thread.

I have got haircut in hairstore for 9,90. You get this price only between 8:00-9:00 am weekdays and you need to book in 2-3 weeks advance since they are all booked.

I cut my hair myself with the kitchen scissors, that's really cheap and it only takes 2 seconds!

I had a haircut on sat, at https://www.facebook.com/xroomhelsinki with 10€. No reservation needed.

Quite good service and great haircut. It was some "opening" promotion but I think is like that always.
