Right of occupicy apartment in other country?
Right of occupicy apartment in other country?
I'm wondering if there is any other country that has this king of apartment? Specially other Nordic countries. Like you can live there as long as you want. The owner can't not kick you out. Any ideas?

You can't live as long as you want, but there are rules the landlord need to follow and things are not instantaneous. I've understood the French system is (considerably) more tenant friendly still.'

The Swedish condo system is quite close as a legal structure. Maybe in practice it more closely resembles the Finnish limited liability housing company though.opo009 wrote:I'm wondering if there is any other country that has this king of apartment? I think opo009 refers to asumisoikeusasunto. Are you talking about rentals above?Rip wrote:You can't live as long as you want, but there are rules the landlord need to follow and things are not instantaneous. I've understood the French system is (considerably) more tenant friendly still.'

Are you talking about aso or vuokra?Cory wrote:How easy is it to retrieve the money once you've given you're required notice of intent to vacate? Do they pay when you physically move out or afterwards or ? What is the law on these types of dwellings? I'm considering a move in the next couple of years once my teen has flown the nest. I would like to be as liquid as possible because I intend to return back to BC after I retire.Rip wrote:You can't live as long as you want, but there are rules the landlord need to follow and things are not instantaneous. You want section 23:Cory wrote:asumisoikeusasunto - guess it's basically a rental. Pay a chunk of cash, get your rent locked in. Maybe a little safer to "control" rent increases over a 5-10 yr period.betelgeuse wrote:Are you talking about aso or vuokra?Cory wrote:
