Dear All,
Time is now bad in Finland. At last I managed a job with small salary outside Finland and soon moving there. My wife is studying in college here in Finland. We have children of around 6 years. So at this moment I am moving from Finland alone. They will stay here until her study is finished. For your information, we all got the Finnish citizenship.
Now the question is what kind of supports are available for a student who has a kid? I believe the student benefit of around 550 and 96 euro child benefit are not enough to survive. If she was alone it was not a problem. Now she cant stay in a shared apartment with her children. At least she needs a studio and its rent is around say 450.
So does anybody know how Kela takes care of this situation? or what kind of support is available for a student with a children? Thank in advance.
Regards,
Robert
